Allan inks with Spartans

After making the move to B.C. midseason, it looks like Taylor Allan is establishing his hockey roots in this province.

The Calgary native and recent graduate of the Chilliwack Chiefs will be playing college hockey for the Spartans of Trinity Western University for the coming season.

Allan joined the Chiefs from the AJHL’s Lloydminster Bobcats for the finals 19 games of the regular season. He also dressed for 15 playoff games. The 6-foot, 180-pound forward posted six goals and 10 assists, adding two goals and two helpers in the postseason.

With Trinity Western, he’ll be joining a program that featured former BCHLers Ryan Bakken and Matthew Vela last season.

The Spartans play in the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) against the University of Victoria, Simon Fraser University, Eastern Washington University and Selkirk College.
