Zak Galambos scored a pair of power play goals and the Wenatchee Wild held the Prince George Spruce Kings to eight shots on goal as the Wild claimed their first-ever Fred Page Cup title with a 3-0 win in Game 5.

Galambos opened the scoring under three minutes into the game and added his second of the game 6:19 into the third, while Wenatchee goalie Austin Park only had to make eight saves to earn his second shutout of the playoffs. AJ Vanderbeck continued his hot streak in the finals by adding the insurance marker into the empty net to seal the 3-0 win and the Fred Page Cup championship.

Wild forward Jasper Weatherby added two assists and finished theĀ  BCHL playoffs with a league-high 38 points in 20 games.

Spruce Kings goalie Evan DeBrouwer kept the game close, stopping 34 of 36 shots and finished with the second-best goals-against average in the playoffs at 2.12 and tied for the fifth-highest save percentage at .925.

Wenatchee will now wait to see who wins the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) championship series between the Okotoks Oilers and the Spruce Grove Saints as they will face the winner in the Doyle Cup starting April 27. The winner of the Doyle Cup moves on to play in the RBC Cup National Junior A Championship in Chilliwack.
