Campbell will play at Queen’s

DCampbellDuncan Campbell made an immediate impact upon joining the Penticton Vees’ roster partway through this season and he hopes to do the same in university hockey this coming fall.

Campbell has accepted an offer to play at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound forward scored twice in his Vees debut on Nov. 4 and went on to post 11-17-28 in 40 games during the regular season.

Prior to joining the Vees, Campbell played two full seasons in his hometown of Brandon, Man. for the Western Hockey League’s Wheat Kings.

At Queen’s, Campbell will join a Gaels program that features a former BCHL captain in Eric Margo who played for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in the 2015-16 season. Campbell is the only current BCHLer committed to Queen’s, but Victoria Grizzlies forward Nathan Looysen is also committed to Canadian University Sports (USports) for next season at Brock.

Queen’s competes in Usports’ OUA East division against programs such as McGill, Carleton, Concordia and Ottawa.
