Clippers announce community plans for club

As the Nanaimo Clippers move forward in the process to become a community-held franchise, the club is excited to announce an online contribution page for supporters to join the effort:

The creation of the Clippers Hockey Society was announced at a news conference April 3 at Frank Crane Arena. The Society’s creation was spurred by the desire to keep the Clippers operating in the City of Nanaimo.

The club’s goal of long-term stability within the community will only be achieved by additional contributions to the Clippers Hockey Society, an increase in ticket sales and fan support, and long term commitments from corporate sponsors throughout the city.

The Clippers welcome all support from anyone that wants to see the team remain and thrive in Nanaimo.

Please visit, call the team’s office at 250-751-0593 or visit the office upstairs at the Frank Crane Arena, 1 to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed statutory holidays) to support and become a member.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please email the team.
