Conzo commits to Colorado College

Troy Conzo has moved progressively further west in his Junior hockey journey and in the west is where he’ll stay as he moves to the college ranks.

The product of Nesconset, N.Y., on Long Island, went to New Jersey, Des Moines, Iowa and then Wenatchee where he’s been for the past three seasons. This fall, he’ll be at Colorado College to play NCAA Div. I hockey for the Tigers.

Conzo’s point totals have grown dramatically each season in Wenatchee. In his first season with the Wild, when they were still in the North American Hockey League, he managed four goals and five assists. Last season, with the Wild in their inaugural BCHL campaign, he recorded 13 goals and 21 assists and this season he has put up 15 goals and 47 assists for 62 points in 50 games. His point total puts him 12th in the league.

At Colorado College, Conzo will be joining a Tigers team that competes in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) against the likes of North Dakota, Denver, Miami-Ohio, Minnesota-Duluth, St. Cloud State, Western Michigan and Nebraska-Omaha.

The Tigers currently have six BCHL alums on their roster in Alex Halloran, Cole McCaskill, Kristian Blumenschein, Matt Hansen, Kade Kehoe and Andrew Farny.
