Jutting commits to Air Force

JuttingAfter an initial BCHL season where he established a rugged presence on the West Kelowna Warriors blueline, defenceman Tyler Jutting will spend one more year with the team before going to NCAA Div. I Air Force Academy.

Jutting posted a goal and eight helpers to go along with 47 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Warriors this season. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound rearguard joined the Warriors after two seasons at with the Shattuck St. Mary’s midget prep team program in Minnesota.

At Air Force, Jutting will join a Falcons program that competes in the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) along with RIT, Robert Morris, Army West Point, Bentley, AIC, Sacred Heard, Holy Cross, Mercyhurst, Canisius and Niagara.

Vernon Vipers defenceman Shane Kelly is also committed to Air Force for 2018-19. Former BCHLers at Air Force this past season were Matt Serratore and Billy Christopoulos.
