Marshall Commits to RPI

After two seasons in the BCHL, Trail Smoke Eaters Goaltender Linden Marshall will take his hockey career to the college level.

The 6-foot-3 netminder has committed to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Engineers for the 2017-18 NCAA Div. I season. RPI is based out of Troy, N.Y. and play in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC).

In 30 games played this past season, The product of Victoria, B.C. posted a record of 15-11-1 to go along with a save percentage of .917 and a 2.86 goals-against-average. Marshall also appeared in eight playoff games for the Smoke Eaters.

The 1998-born goaltender will join an Engineers team that competes in the ECAC with Harvard, Union, Cornell, St. Lawrence, Quinnipiac, Clarkson, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, Colgate and Brown.

Marshall will play alongside BCHL alums Meirs Moore, Evan Tironese, Jared Wilson, Will Reilly and Chase Perry.

The 205-pound netminder has also been invited to the Vancouver Canucks development camp that runs from July 4 to 6.
