Robson rock-steady in net, earns BCHLPOW

Penticton Vees goalie Mat Robson has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending May 15, the league announced Tuesday.

Robson made 62 saves on 66 shots through the first two games of the RBC Cup in Cobourg, Ont. in helping his team to an overtime win and a loss in overtime. The Toronto product made 31 of 33 saves in a 2-1 setback to Brooks on Sunday and had the same line on Monday in a 3-2 OT win over Cobourg.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound University of Minnesota recruit has a tournament-leading .939 save percentage and a 1.86 goal-against average so far at the RBC Cup.
