The Rivermen defeat the Chiefs 2-1

Braedon Fleming came up big, stopping 25 of 26 shots throughout the game. The Langley Rivermen took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Sean Gulka.

During the first, Ponak opened the scoring for Langley with a goal at 4:59 with helpers from teammates Stephenson and Budy.

In the second period, Lombardi answered for Chilliwack with a goal at 4:59 with assists from Pickering and Allbee.

In the third, Gulka answered for the Rivermen with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:47 with helpers from his linemates, Butte and St. Jean.

Langley’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Fleming’s big night as he stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced. On the other hand, Fleming’s counterpart, Chenard, and the Chiefs’ defense did not have such a great night stopping only 20 of 22 shots.

This win brings the Langley Rivermen’s record to (184-159-31-0).
