Vees’ Brodie Reid named BCHL Player of the Week

Penticton Vees forward Brodie Reid has been named the BC Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending December 7th, the league announced Monday.

Reid, who the Vees acquired from the Burnaby Express on November 27th, exploded for five goals in a trio of games last week. He was named a game star in all three contests, highlighted by first star honours after a two-goal effort in a 3-1 victory over Westside last Wednesday.

The 19-year old Delta native followed up that effort with another goal and a third star selection in a 5-4 loss to Vernon and closed out the week with a pair of goals and a second star performance in a 3-2 double overtime loss to Trail.

Reid has now totalled nine goals and eight assists in 14 games, and five goals in as many contests since joining Penticton.

The Vees are back in action on Tuesday when they visit the Westside Warriors.
