Williams wins way to WCC title, POW nod

West Kelowna Warriors goalie Keelan Williams has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending May 8, the league announced Monday.

Williams got the keys to the starter’s role Tuesday versus the Portage Terriers and responded with a 3-2 overtime win and Game MVP after making 26 saves. The Calgary native followed up with a 4-1 win over the Melfort Mustangs and a 6-0 win in the Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup title game.

For the week, Williams had a 0.963 save percentage and a 0.987 goals-against average as he made 78 saves on 81 shots.
