BCHL and Fastbreak AI announce multi-year partnership

Fastbreak AI has signed a multi-year software agreement with the BCHL. Driven by the league’s mission to deliver premier player experiences and prioritize athlete development, this collaboration introduces the cutting-edge capabilities of Fastbreak Pro, Fastbreak’s AI-powered sports scheduling platform, to ensure balanced and optimized schedules for league and conference play.

Fastbreak Pro, recently shortlisted in the “Best in AI” category by the Sports Business Journal’s Best in Tech Awards 2025, is the leading AI-powered sports scheduling platform used by professional leagues like the NHL, NBA and AHL and collegiate conferences like the SEC to generate game schedules. The BCHL selected Fastbreak for its speed as well as to ensure fairness and promote competitive balance in the organization’s schedules.

“This partnership underscores our ongoing commitment to improving league operations now and in the future,” said BCHL Commissioner, Steven Cocker. “With this software, we are better able to manage logistics, reduce time on the road for our athletes and optimize game schedules in the best interest of our fans. Our schedule is the backbone of our business, and using Fastbreak Pro allows for an enhanced fan experience. This is a significant advancement for our league and we are proud to be one of the first amateur sports leagues to use Fastbreak.”

Rick Stone, Chief Scheduling Officer at Fastbreak AI, highlighted a growing trend in sports operations, “Junior and youth leagues are now adopting advanced technology once exclusive to professional sports. The BCHL’s adoption of Fastbreak Pro demonstrates how important competitive schedules have become at all levels. If you want to provide elite experiences and attract top talent for junior and youth programs, machine-optimized scheduling is no longer optional.”

John Stewart, CEO of Fastbreak AI, added, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with the BCHL, a league known for developing outstanding hockey talent. Our AI-powered solutions will empower the league to streamline operations, reduce complexity, and ensure the clubs can focus on player development rather than logistics. This agreement sets a new standard for operational excellence in junior hockey.”
