BCHL Finals – Game 5 recap

Despite allowing the first two goals of the game, the Chilliwack Chiefs rallied with four unanswered goals to secure a 4-2 home win over the Penticton Vees and extend the Fred Page Cup BCHL Finals to Game 6.

Nic Jones and Taylor Sanheim had the Vees up 2-0 by 4:07 into the first. The Chiefs responded with goals from Anthony Vincent and Jordan Kawaguchi to make it 2-2 after 20 minutes.

Colin Bernard’s goal at 5:52 of the second was the game-winner. Jordan Kawaguchi potted an empty-netter with 10 seconds to go to seal the win.

Game 6 goes Monday in a 6pm start in Penticton.
