BCHL grad Greentree re-ups with Flames

British Columbia Hockey League graduate Kyle Greentree has re-signed with the NHL's Calgary Flames, the team has announced.

Greentree, who scored 115 points in his final BCHL season with the Victoria Salsa, joined the Flames organization at the beginning of the 2008/09 season following a two year stint with the Philadelphia Flyers and their local American Hockey League affiliate, the Phantoms.

The 25-year old spent the majority of the season in the AHL with the Quad City Flames, scoring 39 times and adding 37 assists in 79 games. That performance earned him a two-game cameo with the big club in March.

Following Greentree's three-year career in the BCHL, he received a scholarship to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he played through his junior season. In 115 games with the Nanooks, he scored 41 goals and 60 assists before leaving to sign with Philadelphia.

Terms of Greentree's contract were not announced by the Flames.
