West Kelowna Warriors forward Liam Blackburn has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending May 15, the league announced Monday.
Through two games at the RBC Cup, Blackburn has a goal and four helpers. The native of Prince George had a shorthanded tally plus three assists on the power play in a 5-2 win over the Lloydminster Bobcats Saturday night. He followed with an assist on the lone Warriors goal in a 5-1 loss to the Brooks Bandits Sunday.
Blackburn’s five points put him atop the tournament’s scoring leaders.
