Brind’Amour nets BCHLPOW nod

Chilliwack Chiefs forward Skyler Brind’Amour has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 7, the league announced Monday.

Brind’Amour recorded two goals and three assists in helping the Chiefs to a pair of wins on home ice. The native of Raleigh, North Carolina had a goal and a helper and was the game’s 3rd Star in a 5-4 win over Mainland rival Coquitlam Friday. The 6-foot-2, 176-pound Edmonton Oilers draft pick followed that up with the game-winning tally plus two assists in a 4-1 win over Wenatchee where he was 2nd Star on the night.

The five-point weekend gives Brind’Amour 2-6-8 now on the season. He is committed to Quinnipiac University for next season.
