Brown-Maloski stars for Smokies, takes BCHLPOW

CBMTrail Smoke Eaters forward Connor Brown-Maloski has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 12, the league announced Monday.

The Kamloops product picked up four goals and two assists in three games to help the Smoke Eaters past the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the opening round of the postseason. Brown-Maloski had a goal and a helper and took 1st Star in a 4-3 win in Salmon Arm and scored again on the road the next night in a 6-4 setback. The 6-foot, 190-pound scored the game-winner as part of a two-goal, one-assist effort and another 1st Star in the clinching game to wrap up the week.

Brown-Maloski has at least one goal in each playoff game so far with 6-3-9 in five games.
