Caps’ Kehoe commits to Tigers

It’s been almost two months since Kade Kehoe last played a competitive game but he knows there will be plenty more in his future now that he’s locked up an NCAA Div. I commitment for next season.

The Cowichan Valley Capitals forward will play at Colorado College starting this fall. The native of Saskatoon led the Caps last season with 55 points and finished tied for second on the squad with 22 goals. He concludes his BCHL career with 38 goals and 56 assists for 94 points in 109 games.

At Colorado College, Kehoe will be joining a program that plays in the powerful National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) alongside national champions North Dakota as well as Denver, Western Michigan, Miami-Ohio, Nebraska-Omaha and St. Cloud State.

The Tigers featured four BCHL alums on their roster last season in Ben Israel, Cole McCaskill, Andrew Farny and Jake Emilio. Kehoe is one of four BCHLers from this past season that has committed to Colorado College; the others are Wenatchee’s Bryan Yoon, Trail’s Alex Halloran and West Kelowna’s Kristian Blumenschein.
