After the West Kelowna Warriors scored twice in the last half of the third to force overtime, Merritt Centennials defenceman scored on the power play to give the Cents a 5-4 home win.
Deadlocked 2-2 going into the third, John Schiavo and Gavin Gould scored to give the Cents a two-goal edge which soon evaporated on tallies by Hunter Zandee and MIchael Buonincontri.
Brett Mennear was whistled for tripping just over three minutes into OT and Poulsen walked in from the point to snap a shot home for the winner. Schiavo wound up with two goals on the night and Anthony Pupplo made 29 saves for the win.
Goals by Shawn McBride and Brett Gruber in the third period gave the Victoria Grizzlies the cushion they'd need in a 3-2 road win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Ross Heldt opened the scoring for the home side in the first but Matthew Kennedy tied it in the second. After Victoria went ahead two, Colton Thibault had a late Salmon Arm reply. Sean Cleary made 28 saves for the win.
Despite surrendering a four-goal lead they'd built by the midway point of the game, the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings salvaged two points with a 5-4 double OT win over the Powell River Kings. Braiden Epp, Jeremiah Luedtke, Chad Staley and Epp again gave PG the 4-0 lead but a pair from Kurt Keats and third-period markers by Jarid Lukosevicius and Jacob Pritchard for overtime. Jake LeBrun's winner came at 1:24 of the second overtime.
Demico Hannoun scored in the first and the second and Matt Serratore added a late tally to seal a 3-1 Penticton Vees road win over the Vernon Vipers. Thomas Aldworth had the lone Vipers goal in the third. Hunter Miska made 33 save for the win, which was Penticton's sixth in a row.
Craig Puffer's second of the night was the game-winner for the Chilliwack Chiefs in a 5-3 road win over the Coquitlam Express. Jordan Kawaguchi and Jackson Cressey exchanged tallies in the first. There were three goals in 1:58 to begin the second, two by Chilliwack including Puffer's first, before Brett Supinski tied it heading to the third. Puffer and Larson had the goals in the final frame and Mitch Datz made 31 saves for the win.
Matthew Zentner made 52 saves for the Cowichan Valley Capitals but it was not enough as the Alberni Valley Bulldogs fired 59 shots and scored a 7-3 home win. Evan Tironese scored twice in the first for the 'Dogs and then set up two others to earn 1st Star. Scott Clark's goal on the man advantage in the third was the winner. Kyle Horsman, Jesse Neher and Luke Novak had the Caps' goals. Billy Christopouos made 34 saves for the win.
