Chiefs’ captain Tresierra commits to SAIT

Langley Chiefs captain Jessie Tresierra will be hitting more than opponents next season. The three year veteran will add books to his list of victims as he is off to SAIT Polytechnic next year after three years anchoring the Chiefs blueline.

In those three years Chiefs fans and opponents alike have watched Jessie develop from being primarily a bruiser to a defenseman with a full skill set who could be depended on in all situations,

“Tress had really developed into an all-around guy for us,” Head Coach and General Manager Harvey Smyl thinks there is still room for Jessie to grow, “his first year he was kind of our enforcer, more physical, but as the years went on he kept that aspect and developed other things to the point where he was a force on the power play and penalty kill and was more valuable for us on the ice.”

Tresierra becomes the seventh Chiefs player to commit to attend school in the fall of 2009.

On behalf of the entire Langley Chiefs organization we would like to congratulate Jessie on this accomplishment and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
