Chiefs’ Gordic commits to Michigan Tech

The Langley Chiefs are pleased to announce that forward Milos Gordic has committed to attend Michigan Tech for the 2009/10 hockey season.

Gordic, who in his third season with the Chiefs, has become a stabilizing force at centre since his rookie season with the club, centering the team’s top line both this season and last. The Burnaby native has grown every season since joining Langley from the Northwest Giants of the Major Midget League and is now a towering 6’5″, making him a force to deal with in the corners and down low.

“Milos has become a vital part of our offense,” Chiefs associate coach Barry Wolff says. “He has really grown into his size the past few years and has become very good at using his strength to work over opponents and create opportunities for him and his line mates.”

Gordic currently sits third in Chiefs scoring with 23 points in 19 games and is the third Langley player to commit to an NCAA Division I school since the end of last season, joining line mate Derek Grant and second year defenseman Evan Atkinson who have committed to Michigan State and Brown University respectively.

On behalf of the entire Langley Chiefs organization we would like to congratulate Milos on his success and wish him the best of luck next season and beyond.
