Clips’ Goodman named BCHL Player of the Week

Nanaimo Clippers forward and captain Russell Goodman has been named the British Columbia Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week of October 20th-26th, the league announced Monday.

Goodman scored twice and added five assists in three Clippers wins last week, including the overtime winner Saturday against the Cowichan Valley Capitals. He also scored three points in back-to-back games against the Capitals and Langley Chiefs on Saturday and Sunday.

The Colorado College-committed forward currently leads Nanaimo in scoring with eight goals and 13 assists in 15 games.

With a pair of wins over Cowichan Valley and a victory over Langley last week, Nanaimo vaulted into first place in the BCHL's Island Division. Goodman and the Clippers are next in action on Friday when they host the Westside Warriors.
