Eagles grad Toigo nets invite to Canucks rookie camp

Surrey Eagles defenceman Nolan Toigo has netted an invite to the Vancouver Canucks' 2009 rookie camp, the team has announced.

Toigo is set to attend the NHL club's camp after a pair of outstanding seasons in the BCHL, during which he was a key figure in the Eagles' line-up. The 20-year old contributed five goals and 11 assists in his second season with the Eagles and has totalled seven goals, 26 assists and 113 penalty minutes in 79 games with the club.

The Delta native was a top scorer among Eagles defencemen in the 2008-09 season, and was co-winner of the team's best defenseman award.
