Fabbro nabbed 17th overall by Nashville

Lots of pre-draft predictions called it.

Penticton Vees defenceman Dante Fabbro went 17th overall to the Nashville Predators becoming the third-highest drafted BCHLer ever. Just moments earlier his Penticton teammate became the second-highest when he went 10th to Colorado.

Also, Fabbro was one of four Boston University players and recruits to go in the first round Friday night. Incoming BU players Clayton Keller (seventh to Arizona), Fabrro and Kieffer Bellows (19th to the New York Islanders) as well as freshman defenceman Charlie McAvoy (14th to Boston) made it a record night for the program.
