Four players have been added to the rosters for next week’s BCHL All-Star Weekend.
The event takes place Jan. 16 and 17 at Thompson Family Arena in Spruce Grove, Alta. and is highlighted by the College Prospects Game and the Canada vs. World Game.
The following players have been added to rosters:
- Spruce Grove Saints forward Brandon Funk has been added to the Team Interior roster for the College Prospects Game
- Spruce Grove Saints forward Tre Peck has been added to the Team World roster for the Canada vs. World Game (Peck will no longer participate in the College Prospects Game after receiving an NCAA Division I commitment last week)
- Sherwood Park Crusaders forward Quincy Supprien has been added to the Team Interior roster for the College Prospects Game
- Vernon Vipers defenceman Edvin Nilsson has been added to the Team World roster for the Canada vs. World Game
The following players will no longer play in the event:
- Alberni Valley Bulldogs defenceman Caden Tremblay is injured and will no longer play for Canada
- Blackfalds Bulldogs defenceman Noah Mertz recently committed to an NCAA Division I program and will no longer play in the College Prospects Game (Mertz will still play for Team World)
- Chilliwack Chiefs forward Jack Plandowski recently committed to an NCAA Division I program and will no longer play in the College Prospects Game (Plandowski will still play for Canada)
- Chilliwack Chiefs forward Reese Shaw is injured and will no longer play for Team World
- Nanaimo Clippers defenceman Nathan Larioza has left the team and will no longer play for Team World
- Vernon Vipers forward Deagan McMillan is injured and will no longer play in the College Prospects Game
