Geary to gear up at Bowdoin

PGearyCowichan Valley Capitals forward Patrick Geary has found a home for college hockey this coming season.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Libertyville, Ill. will play for the Polar Bears of Bowdoin College in the fall.

Geary is coming of his lone BCHL campaign where he registered 18 goals and 17 assists in 57 games. He also chalked up 86 minutes in penalties.

Bowdoin College is located in Brunswick, Maine and the Polar Bears compete in the NCAA’s Div. III Northeast Small College Athletic Association (NESCAC). Conference games see them compete against programs such as Tufts, Williams, Middlebury, Hamilton and Trinity.

Geary is the lone commit to Bowdoin so far from this past season and the Polar Bears did not have a BCHL alum on their roster last season.
