After hitting the 100th career-point milestone in late October, Penticton Vees forward Andre Ghantous has secured his future as he has committed to the Northern Michigan University Wildcats for the 2019-20 season.
Ghantous has 12 points (4-8-12) in 18 games this year for the Vees after spending the first two years of his BCHL career playing for the Trail Smoke Eaters. The 19-year-old from Glendale, Calif. has 100 points (32-68-100) in 133 career regular-season games.
Northern Michigan is located in Marquette, Mich. and plays in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) along with Alabama Huntsville, Alaska Anchorage, Alaska, Bemidji State, Bowling Green, Ferris State, Lake Superior State, Michigan Tech and Minnesota State.
The Wildcats roster this year features a number of BCHL alums, including Tyger Howat, Rylan Yaremko, Tony Bretzman, Adam Rockwood, Luke Voltin, and Darien Craighead.
Wenatchee Wild forward Josh Arnold is the only other current BCHLer committed to Northern Michigan and will join Ghantous there next season.
