Sherwood Park Crusaders defenceman Stevie Grumley, Alberni Valley Bulldogs forward Jacob Terpstra and Crusaders forward Kent Moors have been named the NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week.

1st Star – Stevie Grumley (D) – Sherwood Park Crusaders

Grumley led all BCHL players with eight points in three games last week, also finishing with a league-leading five assists.

The UMass-Lowell commit scored two goals on Wednesday in a 5-2 home win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. This was his third multi-goal performance of the season, which included his sixth power-play marker on the year to lead all defencemen and sit one back of the overall league lead. On Friday, Grumley, who was recently named an assistant captain for Team World at the BCHL’s All-Star Weekend, picked up a pair of helpers in a 5-3 road win against the Brooks Bandits, then capped off his impressive stretch with a career-best four-point performance, scoring once and adding a trio of helpers, in a 7-1 victory over the Surrey Eagles.

Not only does he lead all blueliners with 29 points and 13 goals in 23 games, those totals have him tied for fifth and tied for seventh respectively among all BCHL skaters.

2nd Star – Jacob Terpstra (F) – Alberni Valley Bulldogs

Terpstra finished last week with the most goals in the league with four in three contests. He collected an assist as well to give him five points.

After picking up an early assist, the recently named assistant captain for Team World scored the game-winning goal last Wednesday in Alberni’s 4-3 home win over the Langley Rivermen. On Friday, Terpstra scored two of his team’s three goals, including a third-period marker to force overtime, in an eventual 4-3 loss in extra time to the Nanaimo Clippers. He finished things off with another goal on Saturday in the Bulldogs 3-2 road triumph over the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Terpstra is currently the leading scorer in the BCHL with 36 points in 26 games. His 16 goals are fourth most in the league, while his 20 assists rank sixth.

3rd Star – Kent Moors (F) – Sherwood Park Crusaders

Moors averaged two points per game last week, finishing with two goals, four assists and six points in a trio of wins.

The 20-year-old forward collected an assist on Wednesday in the Crusaders win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, then contributed a goal and two helpers on Friday in his team’s 5-3 road victory over their Alberta rivals the Brooks Bandits. On Saturday, Moors extended his point streak to four games with a goal and an assist in Sherwood Park’s win against the Surrey Eagles.
