Nick Guiney improved his contribution to the Victoria Grizzlies over each of three BCHL seasons now he’ll get a chance to continue that development at the college hockey level.
The Victoria native has committed to play at Concordia University-Wisconsin (CUW) in the coming season. He’s coming off a final Junior season in which he posted career highs of 15 goals and 20 assists for 35 points in 50 games. He concluded his BCHL career with 27 goals and 36 assists for 63 points in 135 games to go along with 116 penalty minutes.
At CUW, Guiney will join a Falcons roster that includes former BCHLers Mac Ferner, Dante Hahn, Josh Adkins, Eric Therrien and Jake Switzer.
The Falcons compete in the NCAA’s Div. III Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) along with Lake Forest, St. Scholastica, Trine, Northland, Adrian, Aurora, Lawrence, St. Norbert, Marian, Milwaukee School of Engineering and Finlandia.
