Week 23 of the BCHL season is in the books and Jordan Gagne of the Westside Warriors is on a ten game point streak for a total of 16 points in which ten are goals. This coming on the heels of having one point in his previous five games.

Cory Pritz is on a six game point streak after also one point in his previous five games. The 20-year old from Red Deer is in his third season in the league and has 11 more assists but six less goals for five more points in seven more games compared to a year ago. The Warriors finished the season a league best 6-0-0-2 against Coastal Conference.

Dustin Mowrey of the Victoria Grizzlies is on a six game point streak. The 18-year old from Burnaby has 15 points in his last 15 games after ten points in his first 40 games of his rookie season. The Grizzlies are 7-1-0-0 in their last eight and finished the season 13-3-0-0 against the Mainland Division including 4-0-0-0 against Powell River but 2-2-0-0 against Surrey.

Darcy Huisman of the Powell River Kings has at least a point in his last five games played. The 19-year old from Smithers is back in the BCHL after playing for the Spruce Kings back in 2006/07. The Kings finished the season 9-6-0-1 (.594) against the Island Divison compared to their current 26-10-1-3 (.778) record against the rest of the league. Kings assistant coach Shane Lukinchuk talked about the Grizzlies with Glen Gibbs of the Powell River Peak, “Victoria doesn't do anything special, they're just very solid against us. We have to get to the red line and get the pucks in behind their defencemen because really their weakness is their backend and that showed on our first goal when Ben [Schmidt] created the turnover and slid it out to [Kyle] Leahy.” The full article is here.

Milos Gordic of the Langley Cheifs is on a five-game goal scoring streak good for seven tallies. Gordic now leads the league in goals scored and has an outstanding 21 goals in his last 16 games. The Chiefs though have been struggling as they are winless in seven games going 0-4-0-3. Langley hadn't lost a game in overtime in their first 48 contests of the season and were the last team in the league without an overtime defeat but have now lost three of their last seven games in extra time. The Chiefs were also at the top of the league with their 20-0-0-0 record when leading after two periods but have now lost once in regulation and twice in overtime in their last three games when leading after two frames.

Alex Goodship of the Prince George Spruce Kings is on a five-game point streak and has 13 points in his nine games with his new team after being acquired from Merritt. The 19-year old from Blackfalds, Alberta will be off to Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Defenseman Geoff Morgan scored his first goal of the season last Saturday after going the first 48 games of the season without one. The 19-year old from Kitimat is in his first season in the league and is playing alongside twin brother Joe who is a second year member of the Spruce Kings. Prince George has been solid when leading after two periods with one of the league's top records at 15-0-0-1.

Conor Morrison of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks is on a five-game point streak good for nine points and he has 23 points in his last 12 games. The 19-year old from London, Ontario has 24 more goals and 30 more assists in eight less games this season than he did in his rookie campaign. The Silverbacks have a league best 7-1-1-0 record when going into the third period tied.

The Nanaimo Clippers have been busy this season playing in a league high 16 overtime games and 11 of those have went to double-overtime. Overall for the Clippers five of the last ten games played have gone into double overtime. 20-year old forward Steve Mason isn't too worried about what place his team finishes in as he told the Nanaimo News Bulletin, “It doesn't really matter to us who gets home-ice advantage.
