1st Star – Reegan Hiscock (F) – Victoria Grizzlies

Hiscock notched four points in two games over the weekend, including his first career BCHL hat trick.

He completed the milestone on Friday night in Victoria’s home-opener against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The St. John’s, N.L. native scored a power-play goal late in the first to put the Grizzlies up 3-1, then potted his second of the game just 16 seconds into the middle frame to extend the lead to three goals. He finished off his hat trick with a third-period goal to make it a 9-3 final. His second of the contest stood as the game-winner and he was named first star.

On Saturday, he extended his point streak to four games to start the campaign with an assist in a 4-0 win over the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Hiscock now has five goals, two assists and seven points through the first four games of 2024-25.

2nd Star – James Shannon (F) – Coquitlam Express

Shannon also finished his week with three goals and an assist in two games, leading Coquitlam to back-to-back wins on the road in Prince George.

In their Friday night matchup with the Spruce Kings, the Express captain chipped in with two goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory. Shannon opened the scoring with 3:15 to play in the opening frame, then assisted on the second goal of the game on a late first-period power play to make it 2-0 Coquitlam. The 20-year-old buried his second of the game, this time with a man advantage early in the third, to complete his three-point outing.

The following night, Shannon opened the scoring again in the first period in an eventual 6-2 win.

The second-year Express forward now has points in all four games this year and sits with five goals, two assists and seven points through the first month of the season.

3rd Star – Hudson Wiles (D) – Chilliwack Chiefs

Wiles led all players with five points in two games last week, all of which came from assists in two Chilliwack road wins.

The 17-year-old blueliner earned his first point of the season on Friday, assisting on the Chiefs third goal of the game, on the power play, in a 4-1 win over the Nanaimo Clippers.

On Saturday, Wiles registered the first multi-point game of his BCHL career, assisting on all four of Chilliwack’s goals in a 4-3 overtime win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
