(Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) Mayors show their BCHL community pride and take up “The Jersey Challenge”)
The British Columbia Hockey League and its member teams are committed to making positive contributions in the communities where we play and live.
We are in our communities, supporting numerous causes and contributing as community leaders and role models.
In countless instances each year, our teams partner with local and provincial charities to give back. As well, the BCHL considers public service and community service to be two of the most vital aspects in developing good players and great people.
From players reading to children in schools, promoting the importance of literacy and education, to raising donations for our local Food Banks to help feed our less fortunate, our players are ‘in the community’ on an ongoing basis to help make our communities stronger!
We’re proud, as a league, to take a leadership role in each community in which we play and encourage community leadership and community pride among all our players, staff and volunteers through getting involved and making a positive contribution!
