The Interior Final is set as the SalmonArm SilverBacks and Vernon Vipers will renew their storied rivalry after winning respective game 5's.

Penticton (1) at Vernon (4)

The Vernon Vipers put the final nail in the coffin of the Penticton Vees as they skated to a berth in the Interior final with a 7-1 win on home ice over the Vees.

Corey Kane and Sahir Gill each scored twice and added single assists to lead the Vipers to the win while the Jones twins each recorded three points on Connor's goal and two assists and Kellen's three hepers.

Andrew Hammond turned in a solid performance in the Vernon goal continuing his steady play turning aside 24 Penticton shots.

Max Grassi scored the single Penticton goal.

Westside (1) at Salmon Arm (4)

The Westside Warriors headed into the Sunwave Centre in Salmon Arm looking to repeat their feat of a year ago when they came back from a 3-1 deficit against the Backs' to advance to the Interior Final.

When Ron Kelly's tip found the back of the net with under two minutes remaining in overtime, it looked as though they might take the first step toward that goal.  However, a Bobby Lipsett goal at 3:28 sent the hoemtown crowd home happy and crushed the dreams of the Warrior faithful.

The SilverBacks took the 5-4 win and the series and will now move on to face the Vernon Vipers.

Justin Cseter and Conor Morrison each scored twice for the SilverBacks.
