Jones takes POW honours

Penticton Vees forward Nic Jones has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 6, the league announced Monday.

Jones led all scorers in the first weekend of the BCHL Playoffs with two goals and four assists as the Vees got out to a 2-0 series lead on the Vernon Vipers. An Edmonton native, Jones had a goal and two assists in each game, grabbing 3rd Star honours in Game 1 and 1st Star honours in Game 2 after potting the game-winner.
