Kawaguchi's hat trick helped the Chiefs crush the Grizzlies 6-0

Jordan Kawaguchi led the way with a hat trick as the Chilliwack Chiefs crushed the Victoria Grizzlies 6-0 in a home game at The Q Centre in Chilliwack. Furthermore, Mark Sinclair posted a shutout, stopping all 17 of Victoria shots throughout the game. The Chilliwack Chiefs took the lead late in the first on a goal from Jordan Kawaguchi and never looked back.

Kohen Olischefski had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Will Calverley delivered for his team with 2 assists.

In the first period, Kawaguchi opened the scoring for the Chiefs with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:13 with helpers from his linemates, Smith and Calverley.

In the second, Olischefski put in a goal at 2:58 with helpers from teammates Bunz and Watson. Kawaguchi deposited a goal at 8:45 with assists from his linemates, Calverley and Olischefski. Kawaguchi scored a goal at 10:58 with an assist from Vincent.

During the third period, O’neill netted a goal at 11:43 with a helper from Poliziani. Dixson put in a goal at 15:23 with assists from his linemates, Elmer and Lee.

The Chiefs’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Sinclair’s shutout, as he stopped all 17 of the shots he faced. Sinclair’s counterpart, Galajda, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 35, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Chilliwack Chiefs’ record to (354-222-34-0).
