Kings’ Harvey joins teammates at Quinnipiac

Powell River, BC – October 21, 2008 – Powell River's top offensive line is bound for the east coast next year having shown they can dominate on the west coast.

The Kings are proud to announce that Clay Harvey will join linemates Brooks Robinson and recently signed Darcy Oakes at Quinnipiac next year. Harvey was ninth in league scoring last year and is making the top five his second home this year.

He picked up 52 points in his very impressive rookie year and at a pace of 1.5 per game finished with 80 in the 2007/08 campaign. Expect the 20-year old forward from Gull Lake, Saskatchewan to attend his second All Star Game as he continues with his offensive output this year.

“We're very thrilled about this and Clay is one player who has received a lot of looks,” Kings head coach Kent Lewis said. “Clay's been here three years and I can't say enough about him.”

“He's so deserving of this scholarship – he can block shots, he scores goals, and he has great character. Quinnipiac is getting a great player to go along with (Brooks) Robinson and (Darcy) Oakes.”

Of the Kings second scholarship announcement in just three days, Lewis said, “If you have good players the scouts will come to Powell River. The kids have been playing very well and they deserve this attention.”

Congratulation to Clay Harvey – you've certainly earned it. If you would like more information, please contact Elise Vos (604) 485-7550 x2.
