Lalonde, Miller, Peluso named NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week

Brooks Bandits forward Parker Lalonde, Chilliwack Chiefs goaltender Quentin Miller and Bandits forward Nick Peluso have been named the NAPA Auto Parts 3 Stars of the Week.

1st Star- Parker Lalonde (F) – Brooks Bandits

Lalonde picked up four points in the Bandits two wins to start off Round 2 against the Sherwood Park Crusaders, scoring two goals and adding a pair of assists.

He picked up his two assists in Brooks’ 2-1 win in Game 1 on Friday, then followed it up with a two-goal performance en route to a 6-3 win in Game 2 on Saturday night.

Lalonde currently sits tied for sixth in playoff scoring with nine points in seven contests and is tied for second in goals with five. The series now shifts to Sherwood Park with the Bandits up 2-0.

2nd Star- Quentin Miller (G) – Chilliwack Chiefs

Miller posted a .956 save percentage, a 1.35 goals-against average and one shutout over three starts last week, while earning two wins.

The 2023 fourth round pick of the Montreal Canadiens kicked off the week by putting up a 33-save shutout in Game 7 of the first round in Chilliwack’s matchup against the Prince George Spruce Kings in a 4-0 victory. He then started Round 2 by stopping 27 of 28 shots in Game 1 against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in a 6-1 win before making 27 saves in a Game 2 defeat.

Miller’s five wins in the playoffs are tied for the most in the league, while he has also seen the most action of all BCHL goaltenders, leading the league with 533 minutes played. He has a .931 save percentage and a 2.03 goals-against in the postseason so far.

3rd Star- Nick Peluso (F) – Brooks Bandits

Peluso tied for the league lead in points last week with four in two games, picking up a goal and three assists in the Bandits two wins over the Sherwood Park Crusaders to start the second round.

After collecting a helper on the game-winning goal in the series opener last Friday, he led the way offensively in Game 2 with a goal and 2 assists.

Heading into Game 3 tonight, Peluso sits second in league playoff scoring with 11 points in seven games played on five goals and six assists.
