Langley’s Gordic nets Player of the Week honours

Langley Chiefs forward Milos Gordic has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 30th, the league announced Monday.

Gordic scored a pair of goals and added five assists in three games last week, and was named a game star in all three contests.

On Friday, Gordic scored the opening goal and added a helper in the Chiefs' 5-1 home ice victory over Alberni Valley. A night later, with Langley on the road in Merritt, he posted three assists and earned first star honours in a 6-5 overtime win.

He capped the week with the game winning goal and another assist on Sunday against the Express in Burnaby, where he once again named the game's first star.

Gordic now sits eighth in BCHL scoring with 19 goals and 25 assists in 31 games. The 19-year old Burnaby native is committed to attend Michigan Tech next season.

Langley is next in action on Friday when they visit the Surrey Eagles.
