The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to congratulate K. Lancaster of Prince George, the winner of the fifth early bird draw in the 28th Annual Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery.
Ticket number 0430 was drawn on Sunday night at 8:00pm out of the Show Home Lottery draw barrel at the house in the Aberdeen Glen Subdivision. The ticket was purchased from the Northern Hardware store early in the lottery and was among the 5,413 tickets in the draw barrel for the Early Bird draw of a 32″ HD television from the Northern Hardware.
“I’ve bought tickets every year since the (Show Home Lottery) started and haven’t won a thing,” said an almost unbelieving Mrs. Lancaster. “I am so happy to have won this prize.”
“It is fantastic to see a long time supporter win a prize,” said Spruce Kings Show Home Lottery manager, Jim Young. “Mrs. Lancaster has supported the Spruce Kings for a very long time and we want to thank her for that and congratulate her on winning.”
Ticket sales are on pace with the previous two year’s sell outs; as of the draw cut-off there were just over 72% of the available tickets purchased leaving less than 2,100 available.
The Show Home Lottery is in support of the Prince George Spruce Kings Junior `A’ community owned hockey team representing 75% of the team’s operating budget. Five early bird draws remain leading up to the grand prize draw for the $376,000 Show Home on February 14, 2010. The next early bird prize draw will be on Sunday January 3, 2010 for a set of four (4) adult season tickets to the Spruce Kings 2010-11 BCHL season.
Other early bird draws include a $3,200 Rona Gift Card (Jan 17) as well as a three trips from Japatedon Travel & Cruises. A Las Vegas Get-Away will be drawn on January 24, a Mexican Riviera Cruise for two on January 31 and a Disney Family Vacation on February 7.
