Nachbaur signs on with with UMass-Boston

Daniel Nachbaur made four stops over three BCHL seasons but he now knows where he’ll be for the next four.

The Wenatchee Wild forward has committed to play for the Beacons of UMass-Boston, an NCAA Div. III program that was the national runner up this past season.

Nachbaur played 107 BCHL games between Merritt, Prince George and Wenatchee. The 6-foot, 180-pound forward tallied 19 goals and 15 assists in that time and added two goals and two assists in 10 playoff games with the Wild.

UMass-Boston is coming off an outstanding season playing in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) against programs such as Babson, Norwich, and the University of New England. The Beacons went 23-5-3 overall this past season, advancing all the way to the NCAA Div. III semfinals where they lost one of the most thrilling games in recent memory, an 8-7 heartbreaker in double overtime to perennial powerhouse St. Norbert.

The Beacons feature one other BCHL alum on their roster, former Nanaimo and Penticton netminder Billy Faust.
