Penticton Vees forwards Josh and Bradly Nadeau and Wenatchee Wild forward Ean Somoza have been named the FortisBC 3 Stars of the Month for November.
1st Star – Josh Nadeau (F) – Penticton Vees
Nadeau averaged 2.3 points-per-game in November, leading the league in scoring for the month with 21 points in nine contests on five goals and a league-best 16 assists.
The University of Maine commit carried a long point streak into November and ended up extending it to 12 games before it was snapped. Nadeau had points in all but two games during the month and piled up multiple points in six of nine matches. His best stretch came over four games when he racked up 14 points on five goals and nine assists.
The 19-year-old is tied with his younger brother Bradly for the league lead in scoring with 48 points in 23 games. His 34 assists are the most in the league, while his 14 goals are tied for third.
2nd Star – Bradly Nadeau (F) – Penticton Vees
The younger Nadeau led all BCHL players with 11 goals last month in just nine contests. He added six assists to end up with 17 points in November, which was third best in the league.
Nadeau registered at least a point in eight of nine November Vees games. His one game without a point in the month was the first time he failed to register one all season and ended a streak of 17 straight. After that pointless game, he responded with a hat trick and an assist the next time out, his second four-point performance of the year and his first hat trick of the season. That sparked a new streak of five straight games with a point (and counting) with seven goals and five assists over that stretch.
The 2023 NHL Draft prospect leads the league with 24 goals in 23 games, 12 more than second place, and his 48 points are tied for the league lead.
3rd Star – Ean Somoza (F) – Wenatchee Wild
Somoza was November’s second-leading scorer with 18 points in 10 games on six goals and 12 assists.
The second-year BCHLer had points in nine of his 10 games during the month, including a two-game stretch where he recorded four points in back-to-back contests. Somoza had a goal and three assists in a Nov. 11 win over the Victoria Grizzlies, then followed that up with a hat trick and a helper in a win against the West Kelowna Warriors.
The 19-year-old Western Michigan University commit has jumped into a tie for sixth in BCHL scoring with 27 points in 22 games and his 19 assists on the year are fifth most in the league.
