The BCHL will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Thursday and Friday in Victoria, B.C. As part of the week’s events, all 18 league head coaches are invited to participate in a coaches meeting hosted by the BCHL.
This year’s meeting will feature a presentation from Ryan Blanck, best known as the National Football League’s (NFL) most sought-after leadership expert. Blanck works directly with NFL head coaches, general managers and team executives.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to share our methodology of coach-approach to leadership,” said Blanck. “These are our signature new-age coaching techniques to help them build a model of mastery for their programs and player development. This is the same material we use with our National Football League teams to take them to the next level.”
Blanck’s presentation is titled: The Psychology of Leadership: Are You Worth Following? The session explores whether coaches want their players to win in spite of them or because of them.
“We are thrilled to welcome someone with such an impressive resume to speak to our coaches at this year’s AGM,” said BCHL Commissioner Steven Cocker. “Our Coaches spend much of their time competing against each other, sowe’re happy that we can bring them together for a few days of workshops and positive discussions.”
