The Quesnel Millionaires are pleased to announce that 20-year old Ben Payne has received a scholarship to NCAA Division III Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Payne tallied 10 goals and 17 assists in 41 games for the Millionaires in 2008/09 after being acquired from Alberni Valley early in the season.
“This is a great opportunity educationally as it is a good academic school and I'm glad I get to pursue hockey along with more schooling,” said Payne of the scholarship opportunity. “I would like to thank the Quesnel Millionaires organization for helping me to improve as a hockey player and to realize my goal.”
The Quesnel Millionaires would like to congratulate Ben Payne, wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and thank him for his contributions to the organization.
