Rutigliano inks with Falcons

When Nick Rutigliano heads off to Bentley University to begin his NCAA hockey career, it will help to have plenty of familiar faces around.

The West Kelowna Warriors defenceman in the third player on his team to commit to the Div. I program in Massachusetts. Also headed there are forwards Jonathan Desbiens and Brett Mennear. Former Warriors captains Max French and Alex Grieve have also been stalwarts with Bentley.

Rutigliano has put together six goals and 17 assists this season in 57 games.

At Bentley, he’ll join a program that also features former BCHLers TJ Dumonceaux, Jayson Argue, Cody DePourcq, Andy Chugg, Andrew Gladiuk and Tyler Krause.

The Falcons compete in the NCAA’s Atlantic Hockey Association alongside Army West Point, AIC, Air Force, Canisius, Holy Cross, Mercyhurst, Niagara, Robert Morris, RIT and Sacred Heart. Other current BCHL players committed to Bentley are Chilliwack’s Aidan Pelino and Trail’s Jake Kauppila.
