Sanheim signs on with Huskies

As a late season add-on to the Penticton Vees roster, Taylor Sanheim was able to inject some offensive punch to the roster of the eventual BCHL champions.

He’s hoping to have a similar effect with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies where he recently committed to play for the upcoming season.

Sanheim had five goals and three assists in the 13 regular-season games he played for the Vees and added six goals and a helper in 15 playoff contests, helping the Vees to the Fred Page Cup BCHL title. The native of Elkhorn, Man. spent the prior two-and-a-half seasons with the Western Hockey League’s Calgary Hitmen.

At Saskatchewan, Sanheim joins a Huskies roster that includes former West Kelowna Warriors forward Andrew Johnson. The Huskies compete in USports Canada West division along with Regina, UBC, Calgary, Lethbridge, Manitoba, Alberta and Mount Royal.

The University of Saskatechwan is located in Saskatoon and is home to 23,691 undergraduate and graduate students.
