Save-On-Foods Billet Familes of the Week: June 2

The BCHL and Save-On-Foods have partnered to recognize billet families from across the league for going the extra mile to support BCHL players off the ice with the Billet Family of the Week award.

Throughout the season, we have been recognizing one billet family from each team and the outstanding work they do to support junior hockey in their community.

Save-On-Foods will donate a $100 grocery gift card card to each of the families honoured as BCHL Billets of the Week.

The pandemic has made things much more challenging for players and their billet families this year, so the BCHL and Save-On-Foods could not be happier to recognize just a few of these great people in our communities.

This week, we go through the final two teams, the Langley Rivermen and the Wenatchee Wild.

Langley Rivermen

Family: Mike & Erin Addy

Billets since: 2016

Recent billeted player: Joseph Messina

Quote:

“Being a billet family has brought more happiness to our home than we could have ever expected. So far, we have had the joy of having six young men join our family and they truly are family for life. It’s a truly unique experience that has broadened our horizons, connected us to our community and allowed us to help our boys reach their personal and athletic goals.”

-Mike & Erin Addy

Wenatchee Wild

Family: Matt & Sharon Seguin

Billets since: 2010

Recent billeted players: Noah Lugli & Luke Ormsby

Quote:

“This will be our 10th season as a Wenatchee Wild billet home. Over the years, we have laughed, cheered, teased, encouraged, loved, cried and built strong relationships with some wonderful young men we now call our sons.”
