British Columbia Hockey League fans will be getting more than a first look at their favorite team when they enter the rink this weekend. At each BCHL team's home opener, fans will be treated to a copy of the inaugural issue of Smart Hockey Magazine.
An interview with former Chilliwack Chiefs forward and NHL All-Star Shawn Horcoff highlights the first edition of Smart Hockey. As well, the magazine features a look at some of the top BCHL players to watch this season and insight into the Powell River Kings' potentially explosive offence.
The first NCAA Focus section concentrates on the ice hockey program at Ohio State University, where league graduates Zac Dalpe, Hunter Bishop and Taylor Stefishen will begin their college careers this fall.
Smart Hockey Magazine will be available free of charge while supplies last at each team's first weekend home game each month.
