Smokies Shaffer off to Union College

The Trail Smoke Eaters are pleased to announce that Jason Shaffer has committed to Union College, NCAA Division 1 for the 2006/2007 Season.

Shaffer, the 19 year old from Eagle River Alaska currently leads the Smoke Eaters in scoring and has been one of the most dangerous forwards all year for the Orange and Black.

“We are very excited for Jason.” States Coach/GM Tim Kehler, “this opportunity reflects Jason's committment to excellence both athletically and academically.”
