Surrey grad Brody Toigo commits to Iowa State

The Surrey Eagles have announced that graduating defenceman Brody Toigo has accepted a scholarship to attend Iowa State University in the fall and play hockey for the school's ACHA Division 1 Cyclones Hockey Team.

A Delta, B.C. native, Toigo manned the blueline for the Eagles during the 2007/08 season, where he played in 34 games and gained 7 points. The 6’3″ defenseman will rely on his solid work ethic as he proceeds with his new endeavour towards completing a business degree.

The Cyclones are coached by the legendary Dr. Al Murdoch, who is 12 wins away from having the most wins in college hockey history. Iowa State is part of the Big 12 Conference and is located in Ames, Iowa, which is about 35 miles northeast of Des Moines.
