Weatherby stays hot, earns BCHLPOW

Wenatchee Wild forward Jasper Weatherby has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 1, the league announced Monday.

In leading the Wild to a 2-0 series lead against the Trail Smoke Eaters, Weatherby picked up two goals and four assists and was named 1st Star in both games. The product of Lummi Island, Wash. opened the Interior finals with three helpers on the way to 5-2 win and followed that with a goal and a helper in Game 2.

After taking the regular-season scoring title, Weatherby now has leads the BCHL in playoff points with 10 goals and 13 assists in 12 games.
